October is here and that means Christmas prep time! We're just shy of 11 weeks until Christmas and as makers, getting an early start on handmade gifts and decor can bring some extra cheer when Winter rolls around!

The Holiday Stashdown CAL (crochet-a-long) is the perfect event for just this! Hosted by Marie Segares of The Underground Crafter and 22 free patterns shared by various designers.

Each pattern is a one-skein or scrap busting project that works up fairly quickly! Today is the fourth pattern release in the CAL and I'm happy to share this sweet Crochet Bear Ornament with you!

His inspiration came from our fox ornament pattern that was released in our Christmas in July event last year. His cute little details come together quickly along with the head and body being made as one piece to cut out some of the sewing.

New to amigurumi? No problem! This is a great pattern to begin with and become familiar with common methods used. You can also check out our Amigurumi Tips and Tricks page for more!

If you've missed the first 3 patterns in the CAL head over here for all of the details and links!
