Happy Friday! I have a new fun and exciting pattern to share with you today! I received some soft and squishy Brava Worsted yarn from WeCrochet in these beautiful grey tonals and couldn't wait to add to our forest collection.

A raccoon has been on my list to make, especially after making a skunk and deer in similar size. A new forest theme is forming and Rudy here is our next addition!

To make Rudy I used Dove Heather, Silver, Asphalt Heather and White in the Brava Worsted line from WeCrochet! I've worked with Brava yarn before and I love it for amigurumi as the yarn is soft and easy to work with. Plus, their prices can't be beat!

If you are new to amigurumi this is a great pattern to work on. We'll use simple stitches along with a few color changes and sewing on our limbs. For more tips check out our Tips to Learning Amigurumi and How-To Tutorial for Stuffing.

Assembly

1. Sew the ears onto either side of the head, starting at the 5th round and ending at the 11th round.

2. Next, sew the arms on at round 26.

3. Third, attach the legs covering a span of about 4 rounds. I sewed mine from rounds 2-5. Be sure each foot is facing forward as you sew. (Note: For firmer legs add a little bit of stuffing just before finishing.)

4. Lastly, sew the tail onto the bottom center of the back. I sewed along the bottom of the tail as well as 1 inch up on each side to help hold its shape in an upward position.

Your crochet raccoon is complete! I hope you have enjoyed making this pattern!
