Berry Fall Pumpkin - A Free Crochet Pattern

The mornings are getting cooler and I'm finding myself reaching for a cup of hot chai tea more often! Don't get me wrong, I love Summer, but there's always some excitement as the seasons start to change.

Our garden is slowing down and we've been winterizing before the rain comes. Our area could use a good rainy Fall (and Winter!) as we didn't have our normal wet Spring. And with rain always comes an open invitation for more crochet!

I designed the Berry Fall Crochet Pumpkin to bring a little texture to my Fall decor. The simple row repeat also means it's a great project to work on while enjoying a nice show in the evenings!

The pattern comes in a small and large size. The small just might be my favorite with those extra rows of Berry Stitches!

- Fold your pumpkin panel in half with right sides facing each other, lining up your beginning row with your last row. With your tapestry needle whip stitch across to close.

-
You now have a tube. Flip your tube inside out and weave your needle in and out of the top portion, cinch tight to close and secure with a knot. This will be the base of your pumpkin.

- Fill your pumpkin ¾ full of stuffing and weave through the top in the same fashion as above.

- Cinch tight to close and push your needle through the middle to the bottom base. Pull tight to give a sunken look and secure with a knot. Fasten off and weave in your end.

- Lastly, fold and sew your stem onto the top of your pumpkin.

Your crochet pumpkin is complete! I hope you have enjoyed making this pattern. Let me know if you have any questions with this pattern or any of my other patterns, I would be happy to help.
