ABOUT ME

Welcome to Grace and Yarn!

I'm so excited you have found my blog, crochet is a passion of mine and it brings me joy to share that passion with you.

I am a wife, mother and crocheter at heart; but most importantly I am a woman blessed by grace. I (and my blog) run on God's grace and yarn, two things that bring me great motivation and joy.

What will you find here? I'm happy you asked! This will be my home for creative amigurumi patterns, fun tutorials, gathering CAL (crochet-a-long), and great DIY gift ideas (crochet related of course ).

Follow me on Facebook, where I will keep you updated on new patterns, giveaways, new tutorials and more!

If you prefer your patterns in a printable PDF format, you can find them here for a low cost!

Thank you for stopping by and happy crocheting!

  2. I am new in crocheting and still in the process of understanding the terms but I find it enjoyable. I actually just made an amirugumi bear, monkey and chick. Since I came across your site, the more I became interested in making more animals. You're work looks so amazing. I was actually looking for a dolphin pattern but didn't find any. Would you please make one :)

  5. Hi Stephanie!
I have just discovered your blog and patterns, and though I have only had time to try one CAL, I have bookmarked MANY of your creations! I like the way you attach the arms and do the legs as "standup" rather than "sew on later". (I have made a few crochet animals before!!) Keep up the good work! Cherie

  10. Thank you so much for your free patterns. I have been crocheting for about a year, and just finished the moose. He will travel across the country to a friend of mine from elementary school who is expecting her first grandchild soon!

  12. On my browsing for 'free' ami patterns I was fortunate enough to find your page. Your work is woutstanding and I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your generosity in sharing free patterns. Thank you very much. My mother taught me to crochet at about 5 years old, 75 years ago!!! I learned to a very small steel hook and thread and did a lot of work that way but not so much these days. Did some starched Christmas ornaments last year at the last minute, however. And I'm still learning all the new stitches and methods that come along. Computers have certainly opened up the world to patterns and information.....and not able to say enough about organizing patterns on my laptop! So nice. Again, I thank you for your beautiful patterns and great instructions. Going to use a few for Christmas toys and ornaments. You are blessed with a great talent and the generosity to pass it on. 13. Thank you for the wonderful free patterns you are creating, posting, and allowing others to use. It is a blessing. In this day and age it is very hard to find anything for free and that is such a shame! I was homeless for 5 years and was only recently able to get housing. Your patterns gave me a way to escape the horrible reality I was stuck in and also a means to make money for myself by selling what I created at local markets on the weekends. Thank you. I don't know if I would have made it through it all without your generosity. God bless.
